We’ve been made aware that some Utahns are receiving a text message asking for personal information and money for a toll service. Do not respond or give any information. This is part of a nation-wide scam. UDOT’s databases have not been compromised. Some examples of scam texts are shown below.

Utah Code 72-9-601(1)(d) requires tow truck motor carriers to provide to the department, at least once per calendar quarter, information indicating each towing entity dispatch and rotation service of which the tow truck motor carrier is part.
