This is a summary of the Future of Road Usage Charge Workshop hosted by UDOT in February 2020, partly in response to the Utah legislature’s broad tax reform package that was enacted in 2019 and augmented and re-passed in 2020. This legislation directed UDOT to develop options for transitioning all vehicles in the state to road usage charge, defining the planning timeline as 2032.
