  • The open house will run continuously from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and will be held in the library. The hearing will be held in the lecture hall located inside the library.
  • All comments received through formal channels are treated equally. Verbal comments at the hearing are not given preference in the Final EIS. Hearing comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker.

BEFORE THE HEARING
Speakers may sign up at the open house on the day of the hearing or in advance of the hearing on the form posted on the study website.

DURING THE OPEN HOUSE

  • Study team members will be available to answer questions prior to or during the hearing.
  • A court reporter will be available to take verbal comments from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Written comments may be submitted by filling out the provided forms.
  • Questions and comments made at the open house stations are helpful to the study team, but we ask that you please submit formal comments on the EIS by filling out a written form or making a verbal comment to a court reporter during the open house, verbal comment during the hearing, or through other channels listed below. Open house station questions and comments are not formal comments and will not be responded to in the Final EIS.

DURING THE HEARING

  • Following a brief presentation, the public is invited to make verbal comments during the remaining time.
  • Those wishing to comment should fill out a form and submit it to a moderator to be called. Filling out a form does not guarantee speaking time if there are more speakers than time allows.
  • Speakers will be called in the order they registered. Public comments during the hearing will be limited to three minutes per speaker so we can accommodate as many speakers as possible.
  • Please respect the group and presenter. Attendees who have questions or comments that include foul language, yelling, threats, or obscenities will be invited to leave the meeting at UDOT’s discretion.
  • Comments made during the hearing will not be responded to at the hearing. All comments provided during both the virtual and in-person meetings and the comment period will be recorded. Responses to formal comments only will be provided in the Final EIS.
