Service on TRAX Green Line to airport to pause for one day

UDOT crews will also close North Temple for bridge deck demolition

SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 13, 2025) — The Utah Department of Transportation and Utah Transit Authority will temporarily close a segment of the TRAX Green Line as well as a section of North Temple this weekend.

On November 15, all stops between North Temple Bridge/Guadalupe Station and Airport Station on the TRAX Green Line will be suspended as UDOT crews work on the Interstate 215 bridge at North Temple.

Additionally, on November 14-15, North Temple will be closed from 1950 West to 2400 West, near I-215. Locals can still access homes and businesses.

In October, crews closed the same area and service on TRAX to build a temporary deck under the I-215/North Temple bridge to catch debris during future demolition activities. This weekend, they will demolish the bridge deck.

To access stops on the Green Line in this area during this time, UTA will run buses between the North Temple Bridge/Guadalupe Station and Airport stations. Riders should plan for an extra 30-45 minutes of travel time.

Regular TRAX Green Line service will resume on November 16.

This work is part of the I-215 West Improved project, which is repaving three miles of freeway, improving 14 miles of ramps on State Route 201, Interstate 80 and California Avenue, and repaving 22 bridges to keep them in good condition for years to come. The project met a recent milestone earlier this week, when it shifted all traffic on I-215 onto the northbound lanes, to begin reconstructing the southbound side of I-215.
