Construction Training Program

The new Construction Training Program (CTP) has arrived!
The new Construction Training Program (CTP) launched Jan. 1, 2026, for Level l and Level II technicians with additional content for Level III and level IV technicians available Feb. 1. The CTP is a comprehensive curriculum that promotes workforce excellence and quality construction within UDOT and its industry partners. The CTP is a multiyear training curriculum where UDOT employees and industry partners learn side by side to gain the knowledge and skills to work safely and efficiently on the projects that Keep Utah Moving.
The CTP is designed to equip you with the right skills at the right time to deliver high quality projects and continue improving over time. Many requirements are the same as the previous program, but CTP offers more than on-the-job learning, engages Level III and Level IV Technicians to provide crew training, and requires the demonstration of skills mastery to advance to the next level.
Program requirements are outline in the CTP Manual, including steps for advancing in the program. You can view the draft monthly schedule for required in-person classes provided by UDOT central construction. For questions concerning the CTP, contact Cory Bekkemellom at [email protected].
