The Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) is used by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) to fund projects that advance roadway safety goals in Utah. The purpose of the HSIP is to achieve a significant reduction in traffic fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads, including non-State-owned public roads and roads on tribal lands, through the implementation of primarily infrastructure-related highway safety improvements.
