UDOT is committed to maintaining optimum worker safety while keeping traffic traveling smoothly and safely through and around work areas at all times. The goal of the Traffic & Safety Division is to reduce crashes and injuries in work zone areas. In order to accomplish this goal, the Division gathers information on work zone crash rates and causes. Once causes are identified, safety measures are implemented to reduce the likelihood of future crashes.
