Deicing Dashboard

UDOT Maintenance Crews work tirelessly during winter operations to keep Utah’s Roads safe and operational. A key portion of this effort involves applying deicing products. UDOT uses a variety of different deicing products, depending on the pavement, storm characteristics, and environmental conditions, to help reduce the build up of ice and snow on the roadway. The following *interactive reports have been prepared to provide transparency and show the amount of products purchased by UDOT per type and vendor.

  • Reports the approximate amount of deicing product used each month per category

  • Reports the quantity (cubic yards) and dollar amount UDOT spent purchasing deicer from a qualified vendor, other than the low bid vendor
