Flip the Strip is a program designed to help residents reduce water consumption and receive rebates for replacing lawn park strips with water efficient designs.

UDOT supports this program and encourages you to participate. If you live on a state road, please be aware that blocking the road or shoulder in any way, including placing gravel, rock, or other materials on the side of the road is a safety hazard.

You may avoid having to get an Encroachment Permit, if you have the materials placed on your driveway or yard and do all work from behind the curb (from your property side of the highway).
